Cupcake City

19 Street and Sixth Avenue, Chelsea

I REA Approve this window display in front of Manhattan’s Bed Bath & Beyond – the one-stop-shop for all savvy New Yorkers. The colorful structure is clever, fun and eye-catching in a neighborhood whose tenants compete for attention. It also looks good enough to eat.

Oh, The Places We Go

Viña del Mar, Chile

My grandfather (“abuelo” in Spanish) lives across the street from Museo Fonck, a natural history museum that features indigenous art and archaeological artifacts. In front of the building sits a Moai sculpture from Easter Island – one of only six outside its native area. I REA Approve this relic transported from 2,220+ miles away because it’s a surreal piece of history that serves as a marker for my home in Chile.
