Oh, The Places We Go

Viña del Mar, Chile

My grandfather (“abuelo” in Spanish) lives across the street from Museo Fonck, a natural history museum that features indigenous art and archaeological artifacts. In front of the building sits a Moai sculpture from Easter Island – one of only six outside its native area. I REA Approve this relic transported from 2,220+ miles away because it’s a surreal piece of history that serves as a marker for my home in Chile.
